Writing on Twitter, here is what Jason Segel and Neil Patrick Harris each had to say on December 31.

  • Neil Patrick Harris: “Hope your 2011 was rad. If not, hope you gained some wisdom. Either way, may 2012 be kick-assier than any year thus far. HAPPY NEW YEAR!”
  • Jason Segel (after posting a photo of himself with a pizza): “You guys are sweet. It’s not lonely at all! I’m surrounded by nice waiters and couples at the other tables who keep smiling sadly at me. :)”

What are you looking forward to doing in the new year?

How I Met Your Mother Comes To Netflix Instant Watch

author: David Wharton

For those keeping track, Ted Mosby has now been telling his kids how he met their mother for seven freaking years. That’s seven years of irrelevant asides, infuriating digressions, and just flat-out avoiding of the point. Not that I dislike the show, mind you; I actually watch it regularly, and have from the start. Sure, Ted (Josh Radnor) is kind of a douche, but the rest of the cast, including love birds Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan), former teen one-hit-wonder Robin (Cobie Smulders), and Bachelor Extraordinaire Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) more than make up for Ted’s shortcomings. If you’ve never given the show a chance, or just want to revisit the series from the start, the first six seasons of How I Met Your Mother are now available on Netflix Instant Watch.

Field Trip

How I Met Your Mother just aired its 5th episode of the 7th season and as avid fans of the ENTIRE series, “Field Trip” did not disappoint. We still cannot believe that Barney has a *gulp* GIRLFRIEND! He even accepts the fact that she doesn’t like Ewoks. Who doesn’t like Ewoks??? Nora may not like the teddy bears of Star Wars but she’s definitely into Barney. I mean, he’s actually serious about her. But, is he still in love with Robin? We can’t wait to find out if they end up getting back together.

Side note- we are loving the ducky tie’s solid appearance in every episode! Who wants a ducky tie as much as I do?

As for Robin, she’s dating her therapist?!

“If you asked 100 people who is the

worst person you could date, they

would all say your therapist, except

for the ones who say Barney” –Ted.

Most known for playing Kumar in White Castle, (in which NPH makes a cameo appearance), Kal Penn plays Robin’s court ordered therapist Kevin on HIMYM. After seeing him for a few sessions, he tells her he’s moving to Alaska and as it turns out, he just couldn’t see her as a patient any longer due to her attractiveness. Even though a patient-doctor relationship is a huge faux pas, this just might work.

We got to see the ultrasound of Lily and Marshall’s baby! Marshall talked some sense into Garrison about their offer from a dishonorable company and apparently in the future they save the planet together. Can’t wait to find out how! What are you most excited to find out about as the series progresses?
